Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) is a proprietary name for a range of two-component Liquid Silicone Rubbers used to produce elastomer parts by injection molding. Because of its high thermal stability, good rubber-like properties and resistance to aging, LSR is the material of choice by many industries including medical, military, electronics, appliance, automotive and textile industries. The material has a wide temperature range (-94 degree F to +400 degree F) with low compression set and resistance to the damaging effects of sunlight and ozone.
LSR Engineering utilizes Engel E-Motion 310/100 Horizontal/Horizontal and Arburg Allrounder 800-150 Vertical/Vertical which allows us to handle a wide variety of Liquid Silicone Rubber mold sizes and styles. LSR Engineering has developed a modular mold base system which is set up to receive a standard cavity block size which we keep in stock. This modular system allows us quicker deliveries of Liquid Silicone Rubber Molding and our customers a substantial savings because they only purchase the cavity blocks and not the entire mold.
LSR Engineering has clean room capabilities at a class 100,000 or ISO 8 level. Using a new 10×10 portable clean room we can set-up our work space to the clean manufacturing requirements of various customers including medical device manufacturers of non-implantable custom molded parts and assemblies.
